Customer terms
End User License Agreement
Indolent CAD is licensed by Indolent Designs LLC under a single End User License Agreement (EULA).
Where you will see it
The installer shows the complete agreement and asks you to accept it before Indolent CAD is installed. The same text is available from support@indolent.design at any time, and it will be published in full on this page.
What it covers, in plain language
This summary is for orientation only. The agreement itself governs.
- Licensed, not sold. One yearly subscription is for one named user, on the machines that user works from, with one seat active at a time.
- Your output is yours. Every part, drawing, NC1, DXF, STEP and cut list the software produces belongs to you, during and after the subscription.
- CHECK BEFORE FAB. The software is a fabrication aid. Its output is not an engineering approval; the shop and its engineer of record remain responsible for what gets cut and welded. The ASSUMPTIONS list in the app exists so that you can see what was filled in.
- No warranty of fitness for any particular part, code or contract, and a limitation of liability that is standard for desktop software.
- Activation and offline use. Activation needs an internet connection once; modelling, drawings and exports then run offline. AI-assisted reads use the provider configured on your machine; nothing about your jobs is uploaded to train anything.
- Term and renewal. One year, renewing automatically, cancellable at any time to take effect at the end of the term. See refunds and cancellation.
- Third-party components are listed in the notices file installed with the software and are governed by their own licenses.
